Hello,

I have recently started getting errors when I retrieve data both on LDAP 3 and the new version 2008.1.

When I display / search for data I get 2 errors

- Local Error, and
- Server down

I know the server is not down, and the error happens across different AD's and LDAP's. If I refresh the find or the filter then all works normally and the record can be displayed / modified.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still no joy.

Any ideas appreciated as what started as a minor irritation is getting to be very frustrating.

This error is reported the underlying LDAP library (wldap32.dll) when the destination host is unreachable or it's impossible to connect to the host:port.

The error might be caused by firewall, DNS or routing problems, or any other network related issue.
