Error 4: Size Limit Exceeded

Postby pbmsmit » Wed Jan 11, 2006 5:39 pm

I'm using LDAP Administrator v.3.3 (build 1438),
System Info: Microsoft Windows 2000 version 5.0 Service Pack 4(Build 2195),
License ID: yes

I'm doing a directory search and it stops after 2000 entries with error: Error 4: Size Limit Exceeded
I know from previous releases (and forum feedback) that you can specify to ignore the limit. I specified sizelimit 0 (=none) but it doesn't work. If I specify 5000, it still stops at 2000.

Please advise.

When you work with an Active Directory server and want to browse containers that have more then 2000 entries you should use so called 'paged mode' since AD server enforces 2000 entries limit per query.

For more details please read help.
Help->LDAP Administrator Help->Browsing Directory->Managing Large Number Of Entries.

What LDAP server do you use? Do you use a trial license?
