Slow reset from QuickSearch

Postby rbaer » Tue Mar 05, 2013 5:46 pm

Hopefully someone can suggest how to speed this up, or another way to accomplish this...

I receive several spreadsheets per day requesting updates on specific users. I copy/paste the cn into the QuickSearch field, retrieve the user, and update the field. Then I hit <back> to take me to the top of the LDAP again. At this point there is about a 30- to 45-second delay before I can do a search and update for the next user. There are about 50,000 users in the LDAP. Search and update time is very fast. But this delay after every search is killing me.

I thought about turning the spreadsheets into an LDAP query, but there isn't always enough info to uniquely id the user.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello.
First of all, what version of LDAP Administrator do you use?
Have you tried, not to hit <back> and just change the cn in the QuickSearch field and perform search again?
