How to limit user login to specific machine?

Postby sidssp » Sun Nov 19, 2006 3:04 pm

I am a newbie to the Linux world. I am trying to set up a LDAP server for centralized login in a LAN environment consists of a mixture of about 50 Linux and Mac. I got OpenLDAP up and running on a Fedora 6 server but I am having a hard time figure out how to define users in LDAP. The problem is that not all the users are allowed to login to all the machines. Before LDAP, if a user was not defined in a machine, he/she could not login to that machine. But now with LDAP, all users are defined in one place, how do I tell which user is allow to login to which machine?

I am sure this is a trivial problem but I just couldn't figure it out from reading doc. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
