COM Error on login.

Postby bryan » Tue Jun 17, 2008 7:05 pm

any help would be greatly appreciated.
how do i get the ldap application to read the server entries correctly
without the reload step?

i am new to version 2008.1; i use version 3 for a few weeks.

when i open the ldapadmin application, i can see the list of ldap servers
in the scope pane. when i connect to my ldap server in the scope pane,
i see a "COM Error" instead of the expected list of "cn= & dn=" items.

my output window shows the following messages
Default schema loaded successfully.
No modifyTimestamp attribute found in schema entry.
Schema for oraldapr.standard.com:389 loaded successfully.

if i use F5 to refresh -- no change

if i reload schema from the schema menu and then use F5, my list
of "cn= and dn=" shows up.

This sounds like a bug.

What is your LDAP server vendor/version ?

Is your server available to connect to from the Internet? Or can you setup access to it for Softerra?
