Scheme for memberUid when adding somebody to a group

Postby peterAAA » Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:39 pm

Hi,

I have a user (inetOrgPerson, posixAccount, shadowAccount) and a group (posixGroup).
Now when I add the user to the group with the LDAP Administrator 2009.2 wizard,
it creates a new attribute 'memberUid' with the value 'uid=peter,ou=people,dc=domain,dc=com' for the group. Works fine so far.
But I want to have the 'memberUid' attribute created only with the value 'peter' (and the LDAP Admin to recognize the relation).
Is that possible? I already tampered with the 'member search' and 'group search' settings, but I can't seem to get it to work.

Greets, peter

Hi,

No, it's not possible yet. This feature is in our TODO list.

You can add attribute memeberUid with the desired value with the help of Add/Modify Attribute wizard.

Hi

Today I stumbled over the same problem with your current version 2013.1.
Now I'm asking me, is your TODO list as long as you weren't able to implement this function within more than 2 years :-)?
Or did I overlook an option for setting this property?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Best regards

Add me to the list of interested customers who'd like to see this feature.

Also, add these two users who have also complained about this in the past...
