Value display in list mode

Postby Patzer » Tue Jun 13, 2006 11:58 pm

In the list view, I really like the fact that you decode a lot of the flag sets in Active Directory attributes. (Showing "[ NormalAccount ]" when userAccountControl is 0x00000200, for example.)

However, it would be handy if you showed the actual value, too. (Show "[ NormalAccount ], 0x00000200, 512", for example.)

This would make it easier if you are doing other things with those values (like transferring them to scripts).

(I know that I can get the underlying value by starting to change it but who wants to deal with a dialog box for something like this?)

Thanks.

Thank you for your suggestion. We've added this item to our TODO list.

For those also interested in seeing actual values, for now there are two ways:

1) Press F4 to enter into the "Edit" mode. In the edit mode the actual value is always displayed.
2) Right click on the attribute and select "Properties". On the property page displayed click "Advanced" tab. Check "Override the default value recognition" and select "Text". Press Ok.
