Can I evaluate Softerra LDAP Administrator before purchasing it?

Yes, you can evaluate Softerra LDAP Administrator for 30 days for free, allowing you to see and use the software before you proceed with a purchase. Softerra provides a fully functional download version of Softerra LDAP Administrator for evaluation, no license key is required. What you'll be using during your evaluation is what you'll be getting when you buy.

Can I get an extension on my Softerra LDAP Administrator evaluation?

Yes, you can get a free extension on your evaluation of Softerra LDAP Administrator for up to 60 days. If you have already evaluated the product and now you need to prolong the trial period, you have to complete this form in order to obtain a new 30-day trial license key.

How is Softerra LDAP Administrator licensed?

Softerra LDAP Administrator is distributed under three license types:

  • Single License;
  • Operating Maintenance License (OML);
  • Unlimited Site License (USL).

Single License authorizes its holder to install one program copy (which will be further run on that computer only) capable of working with any LDAP servers and directories.

Operating Maintenance License allows installing an unlimited number of application copies. However, these copies can be used to work with LDAP servers inside and outside of a definite number of predefined domains. A license-holding company may specify up to 20 domain names to be covered by OML.

Unlimited Site License allows you to install an unlimited number of application copies and use them with any LDAP servers. The usage of the product under this license is restricted by internal purposes of a license holder.

Is Softerra LDAP Administrator license perpetual?

Yes, all Softerra LDAP Administrator licenses are perpetual. You buy the license once and keep it forever. There are no additional charges and hidden costs.

What is the difference between Softerra LDAP Administrator and Softerra LDAP Browser?

Softerra LDAP Browser is a lightweight version of Softerra LDAP Administrator. It supports read-only operations that do not modify LDAP directory data, e.g. browsing, search, export, etc. For complete, fully functional management of LDAP directories you need Softerra LDAP Administrator. Softerra LDAP Browser is absolutely free, and its latest version is available for immediate download from our Download page.

What discounts are available?

All educational, government and non-profit institutions are eligible to purchase Softerra LDAP Administrator Single License with a 30% discount.

Volume Software Licensing Program provides special pricing advantages on multiple purchases of Softerra LDAP Administrator Single Licenses (starting from 2 and more).

These discounts are only available for Single Licenses and for direct purchases from Softerra.

Educational/government/non-profit discounts may be not combined with a volume discount.

Ordering and Payments

What payment and ordering methods do you accept?

Purchase Orders (PO): Softerra accepts Purchase Orders issued by corporate customers, educational institutions and government agencies.

Please send your order on your company's letterhead by email or fax to our Sales Department and include the following information for us to process your order as soon as possible:

  • Purchase Order number
  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • License holder's name, company and email address
  • Buyer's name, telephone/fax number, and email address
  • Email address the invoice should be sent to
  • Authorized signature
Softerra LDAP Administrator is electronically delivered software (EDS). Please make sure you have specified the correct shipping method and a valid email address on your PO.

If you include all the required information, your order will be processed within 24 hours on business days (Monday-Friday).

Wire transfers : We also accept international wire transfers as a valid form of payment.

Contact Softerra Sales Department with the following information to obtain a pro forma invoice:

  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • End User's information (name, company, email)
  • Email address the pro forma invoice should be sent to

Arrange the bank transfer and make sure that the total dollar amount corresponds to that specified in the pro forma invoice.

The license key(s) will be generated and sent to you as soon as the funds are credited to our bank account.

For immediate delivery, we recommend that you fax or email the Transfer Receipt to Softerra Sales Department.

Checks: To place an order with a check, please contact Softerra Sales Department with the following information to obtain a pro forma invoice:

  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • End User's information (name, company, email)
  • Email address the pro forma invoice should be sent to

The check must be payable to Softsource4u, LLC and should include the number of your invoice. Please mail your check to:

Credit Card Online: 2Checkout.com, our authorized retailer, accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover/Novus, Diners Club, and JCB. All derivatives of these brands are also supported. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via the secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

How can I obtain a written quote or a pro forma invoice?

To obtain a quote or a pro forma invoice, please contact Softerra Sales Department with the following information:

  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • End User's information (name, company, email)
  • Email address a written quote or a pro forma invoice should be sent to

You will be provided with a quote or a pro forma invoice within 24 hours upon your request. A written quote may be also generated here.

What should I know about payment terms and taxes?

Licensee shall make all payments in full within thirty (30) days from the date of the applicable invoice.

Softerra LDAP Administrator is electronically delivered software (EDS). Please do not include any Sales tax as part of your order, since NO media is provided.

Shipping

How will my license be shipped? And how much will the shipping cost?

Softerra LDAP Administrator is electronically delivered software (EDS) and will be shipped via email at no cost.

To ensure the timely delivery, make sure you have entered the correct terms of shipment and specified a valid "ship to" email address when issuing your PO or placing an order online.

How long will it take to ship my order?

Purchase Orders: If you choose to send us a Purchase Order, you will receive the license key(s) within 24-48 hours after your Purchase Order is received.

Wire Transfer/Check: If you paid by check/wire transfer, you will get the license key(s) as soon as we receive your check clearance or the funds are credited to our bank account.

Credit Card: Online orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours (Mon-Fri) after you placed the order. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays will be shipped on the next business day.

If you have not received your product after two days, please contact us with the information that helps us to identify your order (e.g. 2Checkout.com order ID, Purchase Order number, company name, etc.).

How can I download the software if my link has expired?

Your download link expires in 7 days upon the delivery date. To obtain a new download link, please contact Softerra Sales Department with the information that helps us to identify your order (e.g. 2Checkout.com order ID, Purchase Order number, company name, etc.).

What is your refund policy?

All Softerra-made software is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. All refunds are deemed appropriate in the following cases:

  • A refund request is received before the license key has been delivered to the customer.
  • There is a technical problem with the Software that can't be resolved within a reasonable amount of time upon the customer request to support@ldapadministartor.com.

A refund procedure itself is carried out as follows:

  • All refunds for delivered orders must be pre-authorized by Softerra.
  • You should provide us with the information that helps us to identify your order (e.g. 2Checkout.com order ID, Purchase Order number, company name, etc.).
  • If you placed an order with a credit card, a refund would be made to the credit card used for the purchase. Please allow 20 days for the refund to be processed.
  • Upon the refund, you must destroy all copies of our software already shipped and provide us with a signed Certificate of Destruction.

Products not purchased directly from Softerra must be returned to the place of purchase (resellers, etc.) and are subject to its return policies.

Softerra LDAP Administrator is distributed using the "try before you buy" method, so that customers can make absolutely sure the product is exactly what's needed. All our clients are encouraged to perform full evaluation of the product prior to purchasing a license. You have full access to our Technical Support during the evaluation period.

Does Softerra offer support for Softerra LDAP Administrator?

Yes, all Softerra LDAP Administrator users have 2 support options.

Standard Support

Standard Technical Support includes access to FAQ, Known Issues, and our Support Forum where users can submit their requests. User request can be also submitted by email. Softerra guarantees a response to your request within 5 working days.

Priority Annual Support

If you order Priority Annual Support, your Service Requests will be handled before any of the same submitted by Standard Support receiving users or non-registered users, and you will get our response within 24 hours. All reported bugs will be fixed with a special patch sent to you within 5 working days. Additionally, your suggestions regarding new Softerra LDAP Administrator features or possible improvements will receive our most serious consideration and will be greatly appreciated. Minor improvements considered to be useful to other users will be implemented in a matter of days.

What is your Upgrade policy?

All registered users of Softerra LDAP Administrator can upgrade their products to a brand new version. There are two different options for upgrading Softerra LDAP Administrator:

Service Release (Update)

Service releases include updates, improvements and bug fixes based on the community feedback. Your Softerra LDAP Administrator license key is valid for any current version update and enables you to download and use the latest application builds free of charge from our website when they become available.

Major Release (Upgrade)

Upgrade is a major functional enhancement to the software that requires an upgrade fee. Owners of Annual Upgrade Protection receive major releases at no additional cost during the term of their Upgrade Protection coverage.

Is upgrade from one type of license to another possible?

Yes, this upgrade is possible. If you want to upgrade your existing license(s) to a license of another type, the cost of the upgrade will be calculated as a price difference between the license you currently own and the one you'd like to upgrade to.
