LDAP Administrator provides a functionality for grouping of elements. Groups can be created under other groups or directly under the root element to contain different types of elements like Server Profiles or other groups, in order to enable creation of multilevel hierarchies.
To create a new group:
Select an element under which you'd like to create a group.
In the File menu, click New and then choose
New Group.
This will display the Group Creation Wizard offering a default New Group name selected.
You can also launch the Group Creation Wizard via the context menu of the currently selected element.
Type a name for the new group and then press Finish.
Note
If a group can't be created under a selected element, it will be placed under the nearest group down the tree.
