Softerra LDAP Browser has no command line support, only Softerra LDAP Administrator 3.3+ has. If you need just command line tools, you can opt for either those supplied with your LDAP server or, for example, those offeredby Mozilla directory project.

1) Download NSPR and NSS packages - they are necessary runtime libraries for Mozilla LDAP tools.
2) Unpack all packages
4) Copy ldapcsdk-5.1.7\lib\*.dll to ldapcsdk-5.1.7\bin
5) Copy nss-3.11\lib\*.dll to ldapcsdk-5.1.7\bin
6) Copy nspr-4.6.1\lib\*.dll to ldapcsdk-5.1.7\bin
7) Go to ldapcsdk-5.1.7\bin
8) Run ldapsearch.exe to see the list of arguments available.

A simple search could be something like this:
Code: Select all
ldapsearch.exe -b dc=openldap,dc=org -h ldap.openldap.org (objectClass=*)
