Organizing Favorites

As you are getting more and more involved using LDAP Administrator as your working tool, your list of favorite elements will gradually grow in size, so you may quite naturally want to keep them well organized and divide them into categories having created some category folders first, as well as to reorder, remove or rename certain elements.

To organize your favorites, click Organize Favorites in the Favorites menu or on the Standard toolbar.

To organize favorites by category, you can start by creating new folders inside the Favorites Manager. For example, if you have a few favorites that refer to entries pertaining to organizations with which you partner in business, you can make a new folder named 'Favorite Organizations' to store all those favorites in.

To organize your favorites by category: 

The nesting level for folders is limited to 10.
