LDIF Files

This Options page is used to customize LDIF Editor’s settings, look and style, and set LDAP Administrator as default editor for *.ldif and *.ldf files.

Line Break Style

This option allows you to select which character codes LDIF Editor will use for line termination. In case you opt for the Unix style, line breaks will be represented by the 0x0A code symbol, while for Windows it's going to be the 0x0D 0x0A sequence.

Enable Outlining

Check this option if you want to enable the Outlining feature in LDIF Editor. For more information about outlining, see Text Outlining.

Edit Coloring Scheme

Press this button to launch the Edit Coloring Scheme dialog that allows you to change the syntax coloring of LDIF Editor.

Select an element, the color of which you want to edit in the Elements list. To change the color of an element, use the Text color/Background color buttons in the Color section. Font options can be changed by toggling the Bold and Italic check boxes. Using the Font and Size combo boxes, you can set the font type and the text size used for all elements in LDIF Editor.

To reset your color scheme to default settings, press the Reset Color Scheme button.

Restore file associations on application start-up

With this option enabled, the application verifies on each start, if LDAP Administrator is registered as default application for *.ldif and *.ldf files. If LDAP Administrator is not a default application, these file types will be associated with LDAP Administrator.

Automatically reopen LDIF files left open on last exit

Check this option, if you want all opened LDIF files to be reopened on the application startup.
