Configuring Automatic Updates

LDAP Administrator enables you to periodically check the application web site for updates of versions already released. This Options page allows setting a preferred mode for LDAP Administrator to perform these checks.

If you do not want LDAP Administrator to automatically check for updates, you can disable the feature by unchecking the Automatically check for updates box. In this case, further web site checks will need to be performed manually via the Check for Updates command in the Help menu.

To adjust the automatic checking frequency, use the drop-down list next to the Automatically check for updates box.

By default, to check for updates, LDAP Administrator uses the same HTTP proxy settings as Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you need to define custom settings, check the Override default proxy settings box and specify your preferred proxy host information in the Proxy Host box.
