LDAP Administrator offers a selection of predefined attribute groups. They are:

Adding and editing groups.  To edit an existing attribute group, select it in the Groups list and then click the Edit button. To add a new group, just click the Add button. This will display the Attribute Groups Editor. Using the editor, you can change attribute names, as well as add or delete attributes from the group being edited. To add a new attribute, select it in the Available attributes list and press the >> button. To remove an attribute from the group, select it in the Selected attributes list and press the << button.

Removing groups.  In case some attribute group has become redundant, you can delete it by clicking the Remove button on the selected group.

Reordering groups.  The Attribute Groups Manager also lets you reorder groups by selecting one from the list and then clicking either the Move Up or the Move Down buttons. It's recommended you move your frequently used groups up the list in order to reduce time needed to access them via the Quick Search Bar.

Discarding all changes.  Use the Reset button in the Attribute Groups Manager to discard all your changes leaving just the default groups provided by LDAP Administrator.

The Scope field is used to define the scope of your search. Use One level to search all entires one level under the context entry, and Sub-tree to search ALL entries located under the context entry.
